According to the report of Public relations of IMIDRO, major Iranian steelmakers produced 6.286 million tons of steel ingots in the first four-month of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22), indicating a 15% growth compared with last year’s corresponding period.
Mobarakeh Steel Complex (Mobarakeh Steel Company, Saba Steel Company and Hormozgan Steel Company) had the lion’s share with 3,180,789 tons followed by KSC with 1,280,412tons, Esfahan Steel Company with 751,340 tons, South Kaveh Steel Company with 345,678 tons, Khorasan Steel Company with 314,903 tons, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Complex with 283,837 tons, Iran Alloy Steel Company with 129,240 tons.
Major Iranian steelmakers produced a total of 3,718,329 tons steel products in the first four-month to register an 11% growth YOY.
Likewise, MSC and its subsidiary Saba Steel had the largest share of production with 2,307,885 tons, followed by ESCO with 723,881tons, Oxin Steel Company with 237,027tons, Khorasan Steel Company with 183,367 tons, Azarbaijan Steel Company with 86,684 tons, Iran Alloy Steel Company with 69,129 tons and Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Automotive Sheet Company with 168,359 tons.
DRI Output Up11%
Major Iranian mining companies produced an aggregate of 7,013,237 tons of DRI in first four-month of the current Iranian year indicating an 11% growth YOY.
During this period, Mobarakeh Steel Complex (Mobarakeh Steel Company, Saba Steel Company and Hormozgan steel Company) produced 2,576,873 tons of DRI followed by Khouzestan Steel Company with 1,249,310 tons, HSCO with602,544 tons, SKSCO with 479,535 tons and Khorasan Steel Company with 409,680 tons.
