IMIDRO offers 13 mining projects to German investors
Mehdi Karbasian, chairman of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation (IMIDRO) offered 13 mining and mining industries projects to German investors in business conference that held on April 8 in Berlin.
Karbasian who participates in the meeting along with Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, the Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, offered the projects related to different sectors of steel, aluminum, coal and titanium with more that € 3.7b worth.
He noted that nine out of total projects relate to steel sector, two are in aluminum sector followed by titanium and coal.
Addressing members of the German Near and Middle East Association (NUMOV), Chairman of IMIDRI expressed readiness of his organization to have joint venture with foreign investors.
Pointing to competition advantages of the projects, Karbasian acknowledged that energy, abundant raw materials and law protections are among advantages of investing in Iran.
The event was attended by about 300 investors who some of them expressed interest for investment in Iran.
Iran and Germany have tried to expand their bilateral relations in recent years through reciprocal visits by the two countries’ officials.
