IMIDRO to seek comprehensive project study for expansion of coal mines
(IMIDRO) - The Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) is seeking to lay a comprehensive feasibility study for expansion of coal mines in the coal rich regions of country.
To this end, IMIDRO calls for propositions from qualified consulting firms with valid certification from Vice Presidency of Planning and Strategic Control and benefiting from professional foreign consultants approved by employer.
Consulting firms must submit their proposals complying with law of maximum use of local engineering and technical services .
IMIDRO invites all individual with related experience and expertise as well as first degree certification in mining sector to receive more information and necessary document from organization on 14 May (24 Ordibehesht)
Iran produced about 1.5 million tons coking coal concentrate that has been used mainly by steel sector and considering future domestic demand, the figure should raise to about 4.5 million tons.
Currently Iran is estimated to have about 800 million tons of proven coal reserve and 3 billion tons of probable coal reserve.
