In a meeting with executives and workers of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, Dr. Mehdi Karbasian while pointing to resuming of more than 30 semi-finished projects in the last 12 months, indicated that now the organization plans to start new projects beside activation of stalled projects in recent years.
Chabahar steel project with 20 percent participation of IMIDRO, Bandar Abbas steel project and a 50-50 joint investment with Kazakhstan in bauxite mines, iron ore and zinc can be cited among these projects.
"Seven provincial steel projects, Zarshooran gold, South Aluminum and graphite electrode are among projects that are activated in the last 12 months with efforts of executives and workers of IMIDRO", noted Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade.
He continued: we will make a contract with a European company in the near future to activate another major project of mine and mining industries sector.
As saying the mining sector could have a more vital role in expansion and development of the economy, he called executives and workers of IMIDRO to make more efforts and improve productivity to play their role in the country.
