H1 iron ore product amounts to 17m tons

 Mineral units in the said provinces produced over 16 million tons of iron ore during the same period last year which shows an increase of 2% increase this year as compared to the corresponding figure last year.

The bigger share of production during the said period belonged to Chadermalou, Gol Gohar and Markazi units in Yazd and Kerman provinces, respectively.

The primary iron ore mining from the eight units during the first six months of the current year yielded 25 million and 679,897 tons which shows an increase of 11% compared to 23 million and 89,489 tons of extraction last year.

Iran has 5.1 billion tons of iron ore reserves, of which 2.8 billion tons are proven.
