The second unit of the 183 MW Al-Mahdi gas power plant/ connected to the national electricity grid

According to IMIDRO's public relations, the first unit of this power plant (same capacity) is being operated. The launch of this new unit will play an important role in the stable supply of electricity to Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company, and consequently will reduce the electricity load of Hormozgan Province and the Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone from the national grid. This issue prepares the groundwork for better electricity supply to other large industries, including steel units operating in the region, through the national grid.

The Al-Mahdi gas power plant is considered as one of the important projects in the field of energy supply for large industries, developed for the purpose of strengthening the infrastructure of industrial electricity and reducing pressure on the national electricity grid.
