Iron Concentrate Production by Major Companies, 14% Increase
During the ninth month of this year, the production of iron ore concentrate by major companies increased by approximately 14%.
According to IMIDRO's public relations, the 10 major iron ore producing companies (Gol-e-Gohar,
Chadormalu, Middle East Mining and Mineral Development, Foolad Sangan Mining Industries, Central
Iron Ore Company of Iran, Gohar Zamin, Sanabad Comprehensive Development, Opal Parsian Sangan,
Sabapour, and Jalalabad) produced 4,545,787 tons in the month of Azar.
The iron concentrate production of the above-mentioned companies in Azar (Iranian Calendar) of the
previous year was 3,998,373 tons.
Production of Over 40 Million Tons of Concentrate in 9 Months
Major iron ore companies produced 40 million 270 thousand and 883 tons of concentrate from the
beginning of April to the end of December. This figure was 36 million 900 thousand and 353 tons in the
same period last year, indicating a 9 percent increase in the production of this product.
16% Increase in Concentrate Shipments
The amount of concentrate shipped also increased by 16% during the 9-month period, reaching 14
million 730 thousand and 599 tons, compared to 12 million 677 thousand and 871 tons in the same
period last year.
44% Increase in Granulated Iron Ore Production
Major companies produced 1,595,019 tons of granulated iron ore from the beginning of Farvardin to the
end of Azar 1404. This figure was 1,109,790 tons during the same period last year, indicating an increase
of approximately 44%.
The dispatch of granulated iron ore also increased by about 17%, reaching 1,306,331 tons. The amount
of this product dispatched during the mentioned period last year was 1,118,494 tons.
