Accelerating the Bandar Abbas sewage management project financing

A coordination meeting was held to discuss financing the wastewater management and recycling project in Bandar Abbas, attended by IMIDRO’s deputies and managers, representatives from shareholder companies, and "Persian Gulf Infrastructure Supply and Development" (the project executor).

According to IMIDRO's public relations, the payment amount for this national project was presented by IMIDRO, the National Iranian Copper Industry Co., Saba Steel, Hormozgan Steel, Setareh Simin Hormoz, Madkoush, and the Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company.

Abbas Ghanbari, IMIDRO's Deputy, emphasized on accelerating the project financing by shareholders and stated: The implementation of this large-scale and environmental project named "Organizing the sewage of Abbas city" and the transfer of high-quality effluent to the productive industries of Hormozgan is of great importance, and it is essential for companies to take timely action to finance the project as scheduled.

In the continuation of this meeting, the mentioned representatives presented their payment performance reports and expressed their readiness to pay the remaining amount.

The main phases of this project include the construction of a 10,000 cubic meter reservoir and the construction of a wastewater transfer pumping station, the renovation and capacity upgrade of the existing wastewater treatment plant; the supply of pipes and the implementation of a high-quality wastewater transfer line spanning 22 kilometers, construction of supplementary treatment and desalination facilities, construction of a storage reservoir at the northern site, and the establishment of a high-quality wastewater distribution network in the area.

The average physical progress of this national project reaches 75 percent.
