Gold Reserves

The new explorations carried out by IMIDRO in collaboration with the ministry of industry, mine, and trade, and the Geological Survey of Iran increased the proven gold reserves in Zarshooran gold mine in northwest Iran from 89 to more than 108 metric tons. Iran exported $1 billion worth of gold in the Iranian calendar year ending March 21, 2013 and was ranked as the 57th gold exporting country in the world. Globally, over $1 trillion worth of gold was exported over the same period.
