IMIDRO Hits New Record in Exploratory Drillings

According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, Ahmad Fatahhi Majlaj, exploration manager of IMIDRO declared: IMIDRO and its subsidiaries including IMPASCO, Sangan Iron Ore Complex, Iran Alumina Company, exploration Empowerment Plan, Zarshouran Gold Complex, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Copper Chain Project conducted 458 thousand meters of exploratory drillings during the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (from March20,2024 to March20,2025).

This figure shows the realization of 78 percent of the IMIDRO’s total exploratory drillings plan (590thousand meters) for the year of 1403(from March 2024 to March 2025). While, exploratory drillings of the past Iranian calendar year stood at 556 thousand meters, he added.

IMIDRO’s exploration manager noted the organization’s investment in exploration during the first eight months of the current Iranian year and continued: during this period IMIDRO invested 27,759 billion Rials in exploration indicating the realization of 69.4 percent of total exploration budget of the 1403 year by the end of the 8th month of the Iranian calendar year known as Aban.

IMIDRO spent this budget on various exploration stages including providing geology map, geochemistry, geophysics, sampling and sample analysis, Fatahi Majlaj said.
