Severe criticism of the Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade regarding the complete power outage for major industries in the next 15 days

following the release of news regarding the complete power outage of large industries such as cement,
steel, and aluminum factories in the next 15 days stated:
This decision, made without the presence of a representative from this ministry, is, therefore,in complete
contrast with my recent "MOU" with the Minister of Energy, and it is regrettable that once again, the
industrial sector of the country has been determined as the top priority for electricity shortage restrictions.
Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade while stating that the costs of power outages in the industrial and
mining sectors, which play an important role in the country's gross domestic product (GDP), are very
heavy added: While the Supreme Leader emphasizes the importance of production, the power outages
in major industries as the top priority limitation in a year designated for encouraging investment in
production disrupt the security of investment in production.
Seyed Mohammad Atabak emphasized: this ministry tried to prevent a recurrence of the heavy damages
inflicted on large industries last year by negotiating with the government to exclude the country's industry
and mining sector from the first priority for power outage and stated:a comprehensive memorandum of
understanding inked with the Ministry of Energy, and detailed planning had been made for how to
implement power cuts for industries Unfortunately, the Ministry of Energy violated this memorandum in
less than two weeks.
