$5 billion export capacity in construction stones
According to public relation of IMIDRO quoting "IRNA" ,the head of the Iranian Stone Association declared:The best way to save the building stone industry is through exports and added, the annual exports of this industry are below $200 million, while a $5 billion capacity in this sector exists.
Bahram Shakouri, at the meeting of 15th Tehran International Stone Exhibition, stated: "In the stone sector, we are among the top five countries in the world, but we do not have a significant share in exports. Problems such as heavy tariffs have caused Turkey to take over many of Iran's markets."
The head of the Iranian Stone Association while pointing to the advantages of holding the stone industry exhibition in introducing the latest achievements stated: "Attending this exhibition shows that innovations and technologies led to the development of this industry and the enhancement of productivity."
He stated: Nowadays, production with zero waste is carried out worldwide, resulting from advancements in stone cutting technologies and advanced machines, which ensure environmental compatibility and maximum efficiency.
130 Companies to Participate in Tehran Stone Fair
Mohammad Motiee Moghadam, Executive manager of the 15th Tehran Stone Exhibition, during the meeting stated: This exhibition will be held from May 21st for four days at Shahr-e-Aftab Exhibition Center, from all over the country.Start and end time:10 AM to 6 PM.
He added: The mentioned companies from all over the country will showcase their latest achievements in technology and equipment within an 11,000 square meter space.
