Final Review Meeting of Copper Master Plan Held
The final meeting of the country's copper master plan monitoring attended by IMIDRO’s deputy of mine and mining industries of and the organization’s managers held .
According to Imidro’s Public Relations, the corrective points of the previous meetings were reviewed in order to prepare the final version to be presented to the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
Earlier, in December 2020, the studies of the country's copper master plan initiated, and the results of this plan were prepared in July 2022 and provided available to all stakeholders for getting the feed backs.
The IMIDRO’s Development and Operation of Mining Industries office, responsible for the compilation of copper and aluminum master plans by the Deputy of Mine and Mining Industries of IMIDRO, while receiving the opinions of all stakeholders in the form of several meetings to present the results of the project, has conducted the first monitoring of the copper master plan in order to update the results, apply the expert opinions of the stakeholders and monitor the progress of the operational plans and the pathology of the obstacles in front of them. began in 2023 and ended in November 2024.
IMIDRO's Office of Development and Operation of Mining Industries, which is guiding the preparation of copper and aluminum master plans on behalf of the Deputy of Mine and Mining Industries of IMIDRO, began the first monitoring of the master copper plan in September 2023 to update the results, incorporate the expert opinions of stakeholders, and monitor the progress of operational programs and identify obstacles.
This monitoring was completed in November 2024.
According to Omid Emami, IMIDRO’s deputy of Mine and Mining Industries Plans, this project is distinct from other comprehensive basic metals plans, due to the dynamism utilized in its preparation. In such a way that utilizing multiple resources and expert opinions, as well as up-to-date scientific models, the necessary scenario preparations can be executed considering the seventh development plan, under various country’s political and economic conditions such as intensification tensions or expanding trade relations with different countries.
Saeed Pirmoradi, noted: One of the features of the master copper plan is that that by identifying the complications of previous studies and pathology of the past process of launching the country's development plans, a comprehensive, scientific and appropriate methodology is being used which is more consistent with the realities."
