Hassanpour, a member of parliament, emphasized the implementation of new mining projects with modern technologies
Shahbaz Hasanpour, a member of the Industries and Mines Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, referring to the Supreme Leader's statements about replacing mining revenues with oil, stated:
"Studying, designing, and developing new projects which increase added value, is one of the ways to reinforce the mining sector of our country's economy."
According to IMIDRO’s public relations, Hassanpour noted continued: we need managers and officials to take practical, field-based actions therefore the development of mining activities simultaneously leads to strengthening infrastructure, reducing social gap, and increasing foreign exchange revenues, these are examples of taking practical, field-based actions.
The representative of the people of Kerman and Ravar in the parliament noted: Implementing large and modern projects align aligned with the country's new needs can place the mining sector on the path of advanced technologies.
He continued: "The enthusiasm of steel companies into the field of green steel is a positive step that alongside the use of new knowledge in production, will greatly contribute to the protection of human resources and the environment.
According to Hassanpour, the cooperation of large mine and mining industries companies with small mines not only provides the necessary feed for those mines on one hand, but also leads to the activation, development of employment, and increase of revenues for small and medium-sized mines.
Member of the Industries and Mines Commission of the Parliament continued: Fortunately, with Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade’s supporting, we are witnessing the development of infrastructure in the mine and mining industries, it is provided under the guidance & leadership and facilitation of IMIDRO in collaboration with private companies.
The potential of gemstones for development
The representative of the people of Kerman and Ravar in the Islamic Consultative Assembly stated: "The potential of the gemstone industry can be used to develop employment, exports, and growth in less privileged areas."
He further stated: Establishing educational and research centers for gemstones to train specialists, supporting entrepreneurs and startups for the development of new technologies and processing, as well as holding domestic and international gemstone events can create suitable opportunities for the country's development.
He clarified: the extraction and processing of gemstones, especially in deprived areas, can be a motivation of local economic development and improvement.
According to Hassanpour, Kerman with its infrastructure including research and industrial centers, is ready to host and develop educational and research centers for ggemstones.
