Aghajanlou: Iran's mining sector is ready to develop exports and provide technical services to Uzbekistan / Tojimirzayeva: Uzbeks are willing to import steel products from Iran
IMIDRO’s Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors announced the readiness of this organization and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies to export Iran's steel chain’s products to Uzbekistan and continued: Providing technical and engineering services and exporting Iranian copper and aluminum can also be another axis of developing cooperation.
According to the public relations of IMIDRO, Mohammad Aghajanlou, in a meeting with the head of the Uzbekistan Metallurgical Association, attended by representatives of Iranian mining companies held at the IMIDRO, added: In addition to the contracts inked with Uzbekistan in the field of sponge iron, Iran is ready to define other joint cooperation.
Head of state-owned IMIDRO,referring to the construction of a sponge iron factory in Kazakhstan by experts in the mine and mining industries sector of Iran stated: "Technical and engineering services export for the construction of a sponge iron factory in Uzbekistan can also be one of the other axes of cooperation between the two countries.
The Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, noted: Iran has the capacity to produce 50 million tons of steel and export more than 10 million tons using Iranian technology, and added: " According to the request of Uzbekistan, Iranian companies can supply the steel products needed .
Stating that we are also ready to cooperate in the field of copper and aluminum exports, he stated: Due to significant infrastructure and capacities in southern ports of the country we are able to expand trade exchanges with countries.
Emphasizing that Credible& reputable mine and mining companies are ready to export products to Uzbekistan, Aghajanlou announced: "The contract with these companies has a guarantee of the quality of products and the security of delivery, and by holding joint meetings with these complexes, Uzbek companies can meet their needs."
Uzbeks' desire to import steel products from Iran
The head of the Uzbekistan Metallurgical Association expressed his hope that the steel needs of Uzbek companies will be met by Iranian producers and added: " Purchasing steel feed from Iranian companies has been targeted at 300,000 tons by the end of the calendar year."
He added: "On behalf of the Metallurgical Association, which covers 17 companies, we are ready to sign a memorandum of understanding for the cooperation development ."
Regarding the appropriate experience and technology in the steel industry, he noted: " Iran has now the capacity to establish a factory in the steel chain sector of Uzbekistan.
