According to IMIDRO's public relations, the mentioned mine, located in the area of Noor and Ruyan in Mazandaran province, has a reserve of 1 million 420 thousand tons, as well as infrastructure facilities including access road, electricity and water. IMPASCO is holding a tender to identify a private sector investor for the extraction. The Galandrood coal mine is one of the oldest mines in the north of the country, with an area of approximately 18.5 square kilometers, located in the geographical area of Noor and 20 kilometers from the city of Ruyan.
