According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, Industry, Mine and Trade Minister, chairman of the board of IMIDRO and some provincial directors attended the ceremony.
In this inauguration ceremony, two projects of Kish Kaveh South
Steel Company as a subsidiary of Bonyad Mostazafan organization includes first phase of steel making unit with production capacity of 1.2 million tons and desalination unit with 15 thousand cubic meters per day were inaugurated officially.
In the first phase of this project billets with length of 6 to 12 meters will be produced including steel groups such as low carbon steel, mild carbon steel, high carbon steel and low alloy steel.
First phase of steel making unit and desalination unit has been established with 9 thousand and 450 billion rials and 550 billion rials credit respectively.
Required raw material for steel making unit includes 80 percent sponge iron and 20 percent scrap.
P.G.S.E.Z as one of IMIDRO’s subsidiaries has unique privileges such as access to international high seas, cheap energy, transportation infrastructures and access to electricity power plant and adjacent to mining areas turn it to a good platform for development of energy intensive industries such as steel and aluminum.
