According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, the purpose of the event is presentation of opportunities and challenges of Iran mining technology in post sanctions era.
Vast mining reserves in Iran such as 57 billion tonnes of potential reserves and 37 billion tonnes of proven reserves including some intact reserves lead to new opportunities in this sector.
The event and its related exhibition will be held at Espinas Khalije Fars hotel in Tehran on July 11-12, 2017.
Several issues will be discussed in IMT 2017 such as presenting smart technologies and information technology infrastructures to supply products for competitive market, implementing large scale automation projects challenge and innovation in extraction, commercialization and adapting to new technologies.
The speakers of the event are Shamseddin Siasirad, Training, Research and Technology manager of IMIDRO, Mohammadreza Bahraman, Chairman of Iran Mine House, Andre Booyzen, General Manager of Mandalay Resource Corp, Michael Pope planner and co-ordinator of Queensland Alumina Ltd and Steve Amor, former principal technology department of Anglo American.
