Iranian Steelmakers’ Production Up 13%

According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, during a 3-month period, Iranian steelmakers produced 4 million and 870 thousand tons of steel products (beam, coil, wide sheet, rebar, coated sheet, etc.,.) indicating a 13 percent growth compared with the corresponding period of last year.

Based on the report, during this period one million and 695 thousand tons of crude steel and 300 thousand tons of steel products were exported indicating 67 percent up and 58 percent down respectively compared with the corresponding period last year.

Also, during the first 3-month period of the current Iranian year(21 March_21June), 6 thousand tons of crude steel and 623 thousand tons of steel products were imported to the country registering a 81 percent and 14 percent decline respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.
