    • Iran’s Iron Ore Concentrate Production Rises 18% to 25.8 MT in 7 Months

      Tehran, Nov18, IMIDRO_ Major Iranian mining companies produced 25.89 million tonnes of iron ore concentrate in the first seven months of the current Iranian year(started march 21),up 18 percent year-on-year.

      According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, Gol_e_Gohar Mining Company was ranked the first with 9,303,771 tonnes of iron ore concentrates output, followed by Chadormalu with 5,207,945 tonnes, Central Iron Ore company with 3,101,334 tonnes, Middle East Mine and Mining Industries Development Company with 2,904,084 tonnes, Gohar Zamin with 2,628,662 tonnes, Sangan Parsian Opal with 1,683,423 tonnes ,National Development Mining and Industrial Company with 756,488 tonnes and Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex with 306,867 tonnes.

      Granulated Iron Ore Output Up 12%

      Based on the report, 5 major mining companies during the first seven months of the current Iranian year produced 3,216,423 tonnes of granulated iron ore indicates 12 percent growth compared with the corresponding period of the last year.

      Sangan Iron Ore Company has lion’s share with production of 1,294,407 tonnes granulated iron ore followed by Central Iron Ore Company with1, 002,114 tonnes, Iran Central Plateau with 605,891 tonnes and Mishdovan Company with 62,232 tonnes.

      Iron Ore Pellet Production Rises 36%

      During the period under review, major Iranian mining companies produced 21.24 million tonnes of pellets registering 36 percent growth YOY.

      Gol-e-Gohar Company’s pellet output stood at 7 million tonnes during the first seven months of the current Iranian year, indicating a 15 increase YOY.

      Likewise, MIDHCO produced 2.83 million tonnes of pellets, up 60% YOY.
