Iran’s Steel Ingot Output Rises 5% /Steel Products Up7% in 7 Months

According to the report of Public Relations of IMIDRO, Iranian steelmakers produced 15 million and 168 thousand tons of steel products (billet, bloom, slab) during the first 7 months of the current Iranian year(March21-October22,2019), registering a 7 percent growth compared to the same period of the previous year. During the same period in 2018, Iran’s steel products output stood at 14 million and 454 thousand tons.

Likewise, during the period under review, Iran produced 11 million and 752 thousand tons of steel ingot indicating a 5 percent rise compared to the corresponding period of the last year. Iran produced 10 million and 955 thousand tons of steel ingot in March21-October22, 2018.

Moreover, during the first 7 months of the current Iranian year(March21,October22,2019), Iran’s DRI production stood at 16 million and 254 thousand tons to register a 7 percent growth compared to the same time of last year (15 million and 199 thousand tons).
