Steel Ingot Output Up 4% in 8 Months

According to the report of Public Relations of IMIDRO, major Iranian steelmakers produced 13 million and 669 thousand tons of steel ingot during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March21- November21, 2019), indicating a 4 percent growth compared to the same period of the last year.

Moreover, during the period under review, Iran produced 9 million and 117 thousand tons of steel products (billet, bloom, slab) registering a 6 percent rise compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

likewise, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year(March21, November21 ,2019), Iran’s DRI production stood at 18 million and 353 thousand tons to register an 8 percent growth compared to the same time of the year before.

At the same period,these companies produced 27 million and 736 thousand tons of pellet which remained without change compared to the corresponding period of last year. Iron ore concentrate production during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March21, November21, 2019) stood at 31 million and 548 thousand tons indicating a 4 percent rise YOY.
