According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, Iran steel production during the first four months of 2021 was 10 Mt, registering a %9.6 growth compared with the corresponding period of the past year. Meanwhile, Iran still is the 10th biggest steel producer in the world, WSA announced.
During April 2021, Iran produced 2.5 Mt of crude steel which indicates a 6.4 percent increase compared with the April 2020, WSA released.
Also, World Steel Association report indicates that steel output of 64 steel producing countries during the first four months of the current year stood at 662.8 Mt, registering a %13.7 increase compared with the corresponding period of the year before. Meanwhile, steel output of these countries during April 2021 were 169.5 Mt, up 23.3 percent YoY.
During this four_month period, China with 374.6 Mt crude steel output(%15.8 annual growth),India with 38.2 Mt(%26.9 annual growth), Japan with 31.5 Mt (%2.7 annual growth),United States with 27.3 Mt (%2.8 annual growth ) and Russia with 25.5 Mt (%7.1 annual growth) respectively were the world’s top 5 steel producing countries.
Moreover, South Korea with 23.4 Mt(%6.5 annual increase),Germany with 13.5 Mt(%9 annual increase),Turkey with 13.1 Mt(%16.9 annual increase) and Brazil with 11.8 Mt(%15.9 annual increase), respectively stood at sixth to ninth ranks of the world’s crude steel production during the first four months of 2021.
