Iran’s Steel Export Up 128% in Q1

According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, Major Iranian steelmakers exported over 2.78 million tonnes of steel ingot and steel products during the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year(from March21 to June 21,2021),indicating 128 percent growth year-on-year.

Moreover, these steelmakers exported over 916 thousand tonnes of steel ingot and steel products in the third month of the current Iranian calendar year, known as Khordad (May 21, June21, 2021) registering 104 percent rise compared to the same period of the last year.

Meanwhile, Khuzestan Steel Company had the lion’s share with export of 523,321 tonnes followed by Esfahan Steel Company with 315,844 tonnes, Mobarakeh Steel Company with267, 861 tonnes South Kaveh Company with 220,000 tonnes, Kavir Steel Company with 157,000 tonnes, Saba Steel Company with153, 911 tonnes, Hormozgan Steel Company with, 145,471 tonnes and Sirjan Steel Company with 89,995 tonnes.

Likewise, Khorasan Steel Company and Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company exported 88,523 tonnes and 80,978 tonnes of steel during the mentioned period.
