Iran’s Crude Steel Output Registers 4.1% Growth in 7 Months

According to the report of Public Relations of IMIDRO, Iran’s crude steel output during the first seven months of the current year stood at 18.1 Mt, indicating a 4.1 growth compared with the same period of the year before. Meanwhile, steel output of Iran during July 2023 were 2 Mt, down 1.5 percent YOY.

Global crude steel production during the first seven months of the current year stood at 1,103.2 Mt, indicating %0.1 decrease compared with the corresponding period of the last year, WSA announced.

Moreover, during July 2023, 63 steel producing countries produced an aggregate of 158.5 Mt of crude steel, registering 6.6 percent rise compared with the July 2022.

likewise, World Steel Association report shows During this seven-month period, China with 626.5 Mt crude steel output, India with 79.9 Mt, Japan with 51.2 Mt, United States with 46.8 Mt and Russia with 44.2 Mt respectively were the world’s top 5 steel producing countries. Meanwhile, Iran still is the 10th biggest steel producing country in the world, WSA reported.
