Major Iranian Mining Companies’ iron ore Extraction and Production Increased

According to the report of Public Relations of IMIDRO, iron ore extraction of 14 major Iranian mining companies stood at 7,467,202 tons during the first month of the current Iranian year (March 19-April 19, 2024), known as Farvardin, up 40 percent YOY.

Sangan Mining Industries Company accounted for 1,808,598 tons of the total output, followed by Goharzamin iron ore Company with 1,236,276 tons, Middle East Mines and Mining Industries Development Holding Company with 999,332 tons, Gol_e_Gohar Mining and Industrial Complex with 925,258 tons, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Complex with 604,178 tons, Jalalabad iron ore company with 348,438 tons and Iran Central iron ore Company with 327,432 tons.

Likewise, these companies produced 2,643,511 tons of iron ore during the mentioned period.

Production of 4.6 million tons of iron ore concentrate

Iran’s major mining companies produced 4,602,253 tons of iron ore concentrate during the first month of the current Iranian year (March 19-April 19, 2024), known as Farvardin, indicating less than one percent decrease y/y.

However, iron ore concentrate dispatched of these companies during the period under review stood at 1,477,920 tons indicating a 29 percent rise compared with the corresponding period of the last year.
