According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO,14 major Iranian mining companies produced an aggregate of 13,601,381 tons of iron ore concentrates in the first 3 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, june 20,2024) while the figure was 11,670,017 tons during the same period of the year before.
Gol_e_Gohar Mining and Industrial Complex accounted for 3,819,985 tons of the total output, followed by Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Complex with 2,346,203 tons, Goharzamin Iron Ore Company with 1,996,046 tons, Middle East Mines and Mining Industries Development Holding Company with 1,377,588 tons, Sangan Mining Industries Company with 1,200,840 tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company with 929,806 tons, Opal Parsian Sangan with 725,158 tons, Sanabad Development Company with 652,783 tons, , Saba Nour Mining and Industrial Development Company with 436,077 tons and Jalalabad Iron ore Company with 116,895 tons.
Iron ore production up 17 percent
During the period under review, iron ore production of 14 major Iranian mining companies stood at 7,515,059 tons, registering 17 percent growth y/y.
