IMIDRO ready to cooperate with knowledge-based companies to localize titanium production knowledge

According to IMIDRO's public relations, Mohammad-Masoud Samiei-Nejad during a visit to the
Kahnuj Titanium plant noted: "Based on the policies of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade
and the Seventh Development Plan, utilizing the capabilities of knowledge-based companies is
mandatory."
He added: under current global conditions, titanium has been defined as a strategic mineral,
and obtaining the technical know-how for this mineral is important for IMIDRO.
The head of IMIDRO, pointing out that the southern Kerman region has valuable mines, noted:
Considering the high employment creation of mines, we have to do our best to remove the
obstacles to the development of mines in this underprivileged region.
He added: Provincial officials should facilate and smooth the path for the development of
mines, including removing obstacles to the issuance of mining permits.
Samiei-nejad's valuable presence in the current situation

Mohammad-Ali Talebi, the governor of Kerman, also said at the meeting: "Dr. Samiei-nejad's
presence as an experienced individual with a positive outlook on Kerman is valuable in the
current situation."

He continued: "According to the President's emphasis, we must create a complete titanium
chain in the country, and water-intensive mining industry projects should be built near open
waters, such as in the southern Kerman region."

Mohammad-Ali Talebi, governor of Kerman, declared: The presence of Dr. Samiei-Nejad as an
experienced person with a positive outlook toward Kerman is valuable in the current situation.

He continued: According to the president’s emphasis, we should establish a complete titanium
value chain in the country and locate water-intensive mineral industry projects near open-
water areas such as the south of Kerman.
Various mines in southern Kerman
Mansour Shokrollahi, the representative of the southern Kerman cities,stated: This region has a
variety of mines, so by providing the infrastructure, many of the problems of the towns in this
area will be resolved.
Production of Titanium Dioxide Concentrate

Ali Mohammad Soleimani, director of Kahnuj Titanium Complex,noted: Since the beginning of
this year, this factory has produced about 7,700 tons of ilmenite and 7,500 tons of titan
magnetite.
He added: The proven reserve of this mine is 150 million tons of mineral material with a grade
of about 3% titanium dioxide.
