IMIDRO’s Chairman of the executive Board of Directors stated: New steel chain projects must be implemented in coordination with IMIDRO to avoid conflicts with the comprehensive steel plan.

According to IMIDRO's public relations, Mohammad Masoud Samiei Nejad, in the monitoring meeting of the Gohar Zamin Mining and Industrial Company's projects and programs while emphasizing the above points noted: "Currently, we have achieved the quantitative goals of the comprehensive plan, but from now on, we must focus on creating qualitative steel production units. Therefore, it is essential that any new project be implemented in line with balancing this chain and, at the same time, not face numerous problems during implementation, including the supply of foreign currency, etc.

According to the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, the new policy focuses on the
construction of downstream steel industry plants and the growth of added value in this sector. This is while the development of upstream units is not among the plans of the government and the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade due to challenges in supplying raw materials, providing infrastructure, etc.

Samiei Nejad regarding the development plans of Gohar Zamin Company declared: It is necessary to provide a precise schedule of the implementation of projects to IMIDRO so that action can be taken to resolve the challenges.

At the meeting, Ali Amraei, managing Director of Goharzamin Mining and Industrial Company,
presented a report on the company's actions and development plans, stating that the complex has 21 ongoing projects, 17 of which related to infrastructure.

Amraei continued: Two mega-module DRI projects with a total production capacity of 3.5 million tons in Goharzamin are in the final stages of installation and are nearing to operation.
