Over 262,000 tons of aluminum ingot produce in 1st 9 months

Tehran, Jan 10, IRNA -- Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization ( imidro) says in the first nine months of this year (started on March 21, 2014) more than 262,000 tons of aluminum ingot was produced, a figure showing more than 2,000 tons more than the target set for the period.

IMIDRO: Need to Raise Mineral Extraction

Iran has 60 billion metric tons of mineral reserves, out of which 37 billion metric tons are proven reserves and the remaining are probable mineral reserves. Currently, Iran extracts only about 400-450 million metric tons of minerals, informed the deputy head of the Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Amir Khorrami Shaad on Tuesday.
