$15b Investment in Mine and Mining Industries

According to the public relations report of IMIDRO, in the first Iran Mine and Mining Industries Summit ,Mehdi Karbasian expressed that according to the existing drafts we expected to increase steel production capacity from 23 million tons to 40.3 million tons by the year 2020.Also, in copper and aluminum sector, we expected to have capacity growth to 400,000 and 800,000 tons respectively. IMIDRO's empowerment mission will be done through various strategies such as beside high seas special zones development.
IMIDRO will prepare necessary infrastructures such as industrial water, gas, electricity and port services for investors with competitive and appropriate prices so that the final product will be competitive in international markets, he added.
IMIDRO have two developing special zones in Bandar abbas and Lamerd_Parsian and negotiating with government in order to develop other special zones such as Qeshm and Chabahar, karbasian said.
Infrastructure of steel, aluminum and other mining industries development such as special zones under control of IMIDRO are available for investors. country's law such as investment ,tax,…also, related comprehensive plans in mining sector such as steel comprehensive plan completely will support private sector and foreign investments in development plans in these zones, he continued.
