At the China Mining Conference 2025:

Samiei Nejad presented: Iran-China win-win cooperation in the mine and mining industries / presenting new investment models to develop strategic cooperation

Mohammad Masoud Samiei Nejad, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, and IMIDRO’s
Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors, while highlighting Iran’s mining potentials in
strategic reserves as well as in technical and engineering fields, called for improving the two
countries mutual capabilities toward win‑win relations.

According to IMIDRO's public relations, Samiei Nejad, speaking at the "China Mining 2025
Conference," detailed bilateral cooperation development in this field.
He continued: "Being present at this meeting is a sign of the Islamic Republic of Iran's
determination to develop sustainable and balanced cooperation with strategic partners,
including the People's Republic of China, in the mine and mining industries sector."

According to him, based on the latest geological studies, Iran has more than 63 billion tons of
proven mineral reserves and is among the leading mineral countries in the world in terms of
mineral diversity.
IMIDRO’s Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors, regarding the characteristics of Iran's
position and mineral potentials, noted:
48 favorable mineralization environments have been identified in the world, and Iran alone has
35 environments from this set. Out of 114 known global mineral types, 89 types exist in Iran,
and out of 112 types of minerals in the world, 75 types are identified and exploited in Iran.
He added: This diversity and richness have made Iran one of the few countries in the world that
has actual and potential capacity in almost all groups of metallic, non-metallic, energy, building,
and construction materials.
