‎ Samiei-nejad: ‎‎IMIDRO the will achieve the goals of the Seventh Plan by returning to the statute‎.

According to the IMIDRO’s Public Relations, Mohammad Masoud Samiei-nejad, who was
speaking in a meeting with the head and members of the Industries and Mines Commission of
the Islamic Consultative Assembly in this organization, noted: Development in the industries
such as: steel, copper, aluminum, gold, lead, zinc, etc. of the whole country was formed when
‎‎IMIDRO‎‎ was working with its ‎‎statutes‎‎, but following the laws and regulations changing, this
organization moved away from its goals and development was marginalized.‎
‎Recalling the concerns of the Supreme Leader about this field, the Deputy Minister of Industry,
Mine and Trade stated: Given the potentials of this sector, including job creation, income
generation, foreign exchange and balanced development, we believe in strengthening the role
of mining in the economy, and we strive to address the concerns of the leadership.‎
‎Expressing his appreciation and gratitude to the previous heads ‎‎of IMIDRO‎‎, he noted: Studies
show that in the last 10 years and since the regulations outside the ‎‎statute‎‎ were imposed on
this organization, development has gone out of its way and the necessary effectiveness has
been taken from this governing body."‎
‎According to Samiei-nejad, the recent heads of ‎‎IMIDRO‎‎ performed their defined tasks facing
many problems while lacking the appropriate and sufficient tools to launch development plans.‎
‎IMIDRO’s Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors, while welcoming cooperation with the
legislatures, added: "We are all sitting in the same ship, and our main goal is the country’s
development and the promotion of the current position, which increases the need for favorable
multilateral cooperation." ‎
‎ Stating that some of the problems are also related to the current mining law, which needs to
be amended, Samiei-nejad declared:We should join hands to prepare the ground for the
realization of the goals of the Seventh Development Plan by returning ‎‎IMIDRO‎‎ to its original
way, otherwise no significant action will occur.

‎ Referring to his resume and history, he stated: "I accepted the responsibility with the aim of
paving the way for the expansion of the presence of the private sector and removing obstacles
to the activities of investors in this field.
‎Focusing on exploration‎‎, ‎
‎ Samiei-nejad also emphasized the further liberalization of mining zones and noted: "We focus activities from the exploration stage because this sector acts as the engine of mine and mining industries.
‎The Deputy Minister‎‎ further pointed to the shortage of raw materials and feed for the mining
industry and declared: "We must go to mines outside the country as soon as possible –
especially our neighbors – and avoid facing a shortage of feed in the not too distant years."‎
In this session, some members of the commission also presented proposals for the mining
sector to utilize government rights and allocate 50% of the received amounts through a new
mechanism (similar to the National Development Fund)
