Accelerating the executive operations of the Janja copper project

According to IMIDRO's public relations, the Janja copper project monitoring meeting was
attended by Mohammad-Masoud Samiei Nejad, Mohammad Sargazi, the representative of the
people of Sistan in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and members of the board of directors of
the Janja Copper Mines and Industries Development Company during which the progress of the
project, the status of infrastructure, and existing obstacles were reviewed.

Currently, after completing the heap and pond stages of the project, Janja Copper Company
intends to build a leaching plant. Investment in providing the required infrastructure, including
the transfer line of wastewater from Zabol to supply 5 to 10 million cubic meters of required
water, and the construction of a switch house and power substation with a capacity of 90 MW,
are among the measures to be carried out in this project.
Another plan of Janja Company is to prioritize hiring local experts and technicians and training
them to fill the needed positions.

According to this report, the construction and launching of the Janja copper plant, in addition to
creating 300 direct jobs, will transform Nimruz County into a new hub for copper production
and its byproducts, so will bring prosperity and economic growth to the region.
