Publishing the production report for the first six months of the largest zinc processing plant in the Middle East
Production of 93,000 tons of Mehdiabad lead and zinc concentrate since the launching / 170% realization compared to the program
The manager of the Mehdiabad Lead and Zinc Complex stated: since the launching of the factory’s launching (July 2024) until the end of January 2025, this complex produced 93,000 tons of lead and zinc concentrate.
According to the public relations of Imidro, Omid Fallah declared: the plan for the construction of Mehdiabad mine lead and zinc processing factories, as the largest lead and zinc processing plant in the country, is being designed in 3 phases with a total production capacity of 800,000 tons of zinc concentrate along with 80,000 tons of lead-silver concentrate, and now, its first phase (with a production capacity of 200,000 tons) is in operation.
He added: From the beginning of July to the end of January 2025, a total of 970,000 tons of ore entered the factory, and 63,000 tons of zinc concentrate and more than 30,000 tons of lead concentrate were produced.
100% increase in mineral production
The manager of Mehdiabad Lead and Zinc Complex, as the largest zinc concentrate factory in the Middle East,while announcing that from the beginning of this year till now, more than 254,000 tons of lead and zinc minerals have been produced stated: This production rate has been achieved by more than 170% compared to the plan and increased by more than 100% compared to the same period last year.
