4.6% increase in steel ingots production in the first month of 1404 (Iranian calendar)

According to the public relations of Imidro, the Iranian Steel Producers Association, steel manufacturing companies produced 3 million and 312 thousand tons of steel ingots (billets, blooms, and slabs) in April. This figure in April 2024 was about 3 million and 166 thousand tons.‎

Also, in the month of Farvardin (Iranian calendar) ,1,812,000 tons of various steel products (I-beams, rebar, angles, various sheets, etc.) were produced, which compared to the production figures in Farvardin of the previous year (1,851,000 tons), indicates a 2.1 percent decrease in steel product output.

In Farvardin of this year, 6 million 575 thousand tons of concentrate, 6 million 248 thousand tons of pellet, and 4 million 75 thousand tons of sponge iron were produced, compared to the production figures in the same period last year (6 million 501 thousand tons of concentrate, 6 million 339 thousand tons of pellet, and 3 million 807 thousand tons of sponge iron) represents an increase of 1.1%, a decrease of 1.4%, and an increase of 7%, respectively.
