According to the Public Relations of IMIDRO, Seyyed Mohammad Atabak at the National Mining Day commemoration, attended by Mohammad Aghajanlou, Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors of IMIDRO, Vajihollah Jafari, Deputy of mine and Mining Industries, Daryush Esmaeili, Head of the Geological Survey of Iran, as well as managers and activists of the private sector at the Tehran International Exhibition, added: Increasing the depth of exploration, developing the value chain, and using new financial tools such as specialized funds and bonds based on reserves Mining is on the agenda.‎

Referring to the slogan of the current year “Investment in Production" He mentioned the mine as the best field for realizing this slogan and stated: "Sustainable investment in this sector causes the added value to be multiplied." The next generation must recognize us as the developers of Iran's mine. This is a national and common mission for all of us.‎

Emphasizing the fundamental role of mine in Iran's economy, Seyyed Mohammad Atabak called for redefining Mining governance with a focus on the private sector and increasing transparency, added: "Mining is the hidden pillar of the country's economy; In case of unavailability of raw mineral materials, many Iranian industries would not be in their current position today." A significant share of the country's non-oil exports is the result of mineral capacities exploitation.

‎Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade considered surge in exploration as one of the key achievements of recent years and noted: "By traditional methods, it would take 40 years to achieve the goals of the Seventh Development Plan." But with the participation of the private sector, 650,000 square kilometers of the two-million-kilometer exploration program have been carried out so far.‎

‎He announced the launch of the "Geoscience Data System" and added: " This system has removed mineral information from government monopoly and made it available to the public; an action towards transparency and equal development that can end the monopoly on mineral data.

Atabak further criticized the depreciation of Mining machinery and stated: a program for renewing machinery with the participation of domestic and foreign companies is underway, hoping that with the cooperation of large and small mines, this problem would be solved by the end of the current year.

Sustainable energy supply

Atabak warned about the fuel supply problem for the mines, and continued: We expect mine managers to have precise control over fuel consumption. Planning for a sustainable fuel supply has begun, and the responsibility for following up has been assigned to the specialized deputy of the ministry.
