Aghajanlou: The implementation of national plans should be prioritized

According to IMIDRO's public relations, Mohammad Aghajanlou at the monitoring meeting of the Mines and Metals Development Investment Company noted: “due to favorable profit distribution compared to previous years in the Mines and Metals Development Investment Company, the implementation of main projects should be prioritized”.

He continued: National projects such as Janja Copper, Kurdistan Steel, Kurd Steel, and the Semnan Power Plant combined cycle are among the important projects.

Considering their high rank &importance in development, should receive more attention and their completion should be prioritized.

Over 24% Growth in the Janja Copper Concentrate Production Project

Ardeshir Saad Mohammadi, Managing Director of Mines and Metals Development Investment Company, declared: 92 percent of the companies in this complex are in stock market, this issue indicates the transparency of these companies' performance.

He added: The process of increasing capital in the mentioned company has always been upward since 2016, rising from 31 trillion rials during that period to 445 trillion rials in February 2025.

Saad Mohammadi, stating that the trend of exploratory drilling in the Mines and Metals Development Investment Company Holding has been increasing, noted: The total exploratory drilling of this company has increased from 90,000 meters in the year 1400 (Iranian Calendar) to approximately 131,000 meters in the year 1403. The Managing Director of Mines and Metals Development Investment Company emphasized: "The Janja Copper Project in early next year with the completion of 21 million tons of mining operations will reach the mineral deposit. The main parts and components of the concentrate production plant have been ordered and the project is now over 24% complete.

He added: "In the steel Kurd project (production of conveyor belt, the equipment has been purchased and the progress of this project reached 17.5 percent.
