Digitalization and Smartization are Necessary

According to IMIDRO's public relations, the digital maturity evaluation session of IMPASCO held within the framework of IMIDRO's subsidiary companies assessment plan by IMIDRO's Innovation, Smartization and Security Center in cooperation with IMPASCO's Information Technology department.

Tooraj Zare, IMPASCO’s Managing Director,while emphasizing the need for a change in approach in the mining industry added : "The management of mines with traditional methods must change. The digitalization is the path that can guarantee the future of IRAN’s mining industry. "

He added: "My expectations are clear on two levels: At the headquarters level, the mechanization and digitalization of all processes, especially human resources, and at the operational level, the digitalization of exploration, mines, and factories must be seriously pursued."

The head of Impasco, pointing to the necessity of changing the organizational culture, noted: "Digital transformation, before requiring software and hardware, needs a new culture and attitude. Eliminating paper processes and reports and moving towards intelligent automation should be prioritized in the current situation."

Zare, referring to the role of new technologies in managing the mining operations, continued: “Eliminating paper-based processes and reports and moving toward smartification should be prioritized under current circumstances. A tool that can display production, consumption, and plant outputs instantly so that decisions are made faster, more accurately, and more scientifically.

In conclusion, Zare stating that IMPASCO has taken more significant steps towards digitalization compared to many mining companies,noted, "We are the pioneers of intelligentization in mines, but we must institutionalize digital culture at all levels of the organization. The future of the mining industry belongs to companies that operate intelligently."
