The chairman of IMIDRO's announced, "The steel industry has created 200,000 direct jobs in the country." Gharibpour emphasized, "This year, for the first time, steel production will exceed 30 million tons."

According to IMIDRO's Public Relations, referring to the effects of the inauguration of steel projects,Khodadad Gharibpour added, "Creating every job in the steel chain from the beginning of the mining sector to the end of the chain, leads to the formation of 17 indirect and sustainable jobs."
Referring to the steel development vision, he said, "Fortunately the current trend shows that our country will reach a capacity of 55 million tons of steel before the vision1404."
"This year, with an increase of 5 million tons in production capacity, the final production capacity of crude steel will reach 42 million tons." Gharibpour stated.
He predicted 31 million tons of crude steel would be produced in the country by the end of the year.
$4bn steel export capacity
Regarding to Iran steel export capacity, he said, "Our country currently has an export capacity of more than $4bn."
