IMIDRO's African Mine Operation a Progress

In a meeting between the shareholders of the joint venture mining company (Iran and Guinea Conakry) called SBDT, It was agreed to restart mining activities in Guinea Conakry and to extend required licenses and MOUs.
The shareholders put more stress on the G. Conakry role on implementation of the project. Based on a new agreement, SBDT will mine 4million t/y of bauxite from D&T mine and it will be shipped to Iran via Conakry port.
Due to shortage of bauxite in Iran and agreement was signed between the two countries 23 year ago which will be expired in 2017.
The reason of delay was financial, administration and regional issues and problems which will be settled soon through cooperation between the two countries.
