      Tehran, May31, IMIDRO_ Minister of Industry, Mine &Trade called for exemption of mine sector from income tax as agriculture sector.

      According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, Mohammadreza Nematzadeh in the first Mines and Mining Industries Summit said that mine sector is one of the supported sectors from supreme leader of Iran and government and we as a part of government will protect development and growth of the mine sector.
      Our first priority program is completion of mining explorations. However, well explorations have been done during the years before and after Islamic Revolution but total exploration is only %7 of area of Iran and that is not enough, he added.
      One of our priorities is investment in iron ore, copper, chromite, zinc, lead, metals and rare earth elements. Also, production and supply mining machinery through technical knowledge transfer is one of our priorities. We hope to be knowledge and mining equipment exporter, Nematzadeh mentioned.
      Southern zones of Iran are ready for investment. Assalueh zone has appropriate Hydrocarbons resources and also Chabahar has good situation and recently has been started construction of a steel plan there .Jask zone in Hormozgan province with about 2 thousands hectares area is in designing phase and has potential for foreign investment ,Minister of Industry ,Mine and Trade said.
