Enough Mineral Reservoirs for Country’s Development

Mehdi Karbasian expressed that the mineral resources in Iran includes most of the known mineral materials in the world which is a specific advantage for country’s development so, in the economic development plan, we can focus on the mine sector for more than 5 decades.Undoubtedly, investors could enter the mineral processing plant construction sector with confidence of raw material supply, public relations of IMIDRO reported.
New explorations and extraction and mine processing conditions -consequently new downstream industries-will make remarkable job opportunities for the country, he added.
Majority sales of raw materials in the country’s mines are belonging to the Iron ore. With the execution of the special plan of Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade for concentrate production and iron ore pelletizing, it will supply pellets for domestic steelmaking plants. We hope that at the second half of the year1395 (early months of the year 2017) the raw sales of the iron ore will be finished completely, Chairman of the executive board of IMIDRO announced.
IMIDRO administrating huge exploration plans around the country for increasing absolute strategic mineral reservoirs such as Copper, Alumina, Gold, Iron ore, Lead and Zinc, Magnesium, Rare earth elements, Titanium, Coal, etc. respect to the positive perspective of increasing the reservoirs, raw materials required for present mining industries and future projects will be supply, he mentioned.
According to the recent assessments in numbers of mines there are adequate reservoirs for 50 years and in mines such as coal we have adequate reservoirs for 200 years, Mehdi Karbasian said.
