According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, this report showed the crude steel production in the first five months of 2015, approximately 7 million tons, at the same period of 2014, Iran had produced 6.608 million tons of crude steel.
Also, Iran’s crude steel production in May 2015 reached one million and 455000 tons which showed 1.2 percent growth.
In this period, main steel producer countries such as China, South Korea and Japan followed production reduction policy so that China with 340 million tons production had 1.6 percent reduction, Japan with44 million tons had 4.4 percent reduction and South Korea with 28 million tons had 5.1 percent reduction.
As expected India had growing trend and with 37 million tons crude steel production until the end of May 2015 had 6.1percent growth compared to the figure for the same period the year before.
In the Middle East, Qatar and Saudi Arabia had 10.2 and 1.9 percent reduction respectively but Emirates produced 1.2 million tons crude steel therefore had 10 percent growth compared to the same period the year before.
Total global crude steel production of 65 producer countries at this period was 675 million tons which showed average reduction of 1.9 percent.
