Public relations of IMIDRO reports that in the sixth development plan have been estimated that production capacity of steel, copper and aluminum reached 40 million tons, 410 thousand tons and 800 thousand tons respectively, Mehdi Karbasian said.
Modification of rules and simplification of foreign investment regulations will prepare the situations for attraction of foreign investments in mine and mining industries in the country, he added.
During the last year private sector participated in about 20 thousand billion tomans of IMIDRO’s projects and we are ready to have participation with private sector investors who want to have investments in mine sector, he continued.
IMIDRO during the last year had vast exploration projects which led to increasing mineral reservoirs of the country. We are ready to concede these mines to the private sector if they want to have activities in these mines provided they have financial and technical competency, Mehdi Karbasian expressed.
