According to the report of public relations of Iranian mines and mining industries development and renovation organization (IMIDRO), Senior Trade Commissioner of (MENA), Australia Ambassador in Iran and chairman of the executive board of IMIDRO in a meeting discussed bilateral cooperation in mine sector.
Considering Iran’s abilities and opportunities of development in mine and mining industries, Australia willing to resume and enhance bilateral relations in this sector, Senior Trade Commissioner of the Middle East and North Africa said.
Australia are aware of potentials and advantages of different parts of Iran’s mine sector, so development and enhancement of cooperation in mine and mining industries sector will have benefits for both sides, Gerard Seeber added.
Over the past years mine and mining industries sector of Iran has been developed and there are good opportunities for cooperation in this sector that is the reason that Australian firms willing to invest in Iran’s mining projects, he continued.
Mines and mining sectors such as iron ore, copper, bauxite, potash, titanium and gold and also explorations will be a good resumption for bilateral cooperation, Mehdi Karbasian said.
Since a year and a half ago exploration plan of 200 thousands square kilometers of total areas of the country has been started. Considering technical knowledge and experiences of Australia, Iran willing to have cooperation in exploration sector, Mehdi Karbasian explained.
At the end of this meeting Australian Ambassador delivered invitation letter of Industry and Mine Minister of Australia to Chairman of the executive board of IMIDRO in order to travel to Australia and have meeting with Australian firms. more pictures
