According to the press release of public relations of IMIDRO, managers of Danieli and Fata firms met, Mehdi Karbasian, chairman of the executive board of IMIDRO yesterday.
These two firms offered 4 billion euros to participate in steel and aluminum projects in Iran. They announced that cooperation in these projects are in line with extension of economic cooperation of Iran and Italy.
Danieli and Fata conducted steel and aluminum projects in Iran during the last 25 years. Now considering, Iran’s achievements in the international arena and abilities to extend global economic relations, these two major Italian firms are keen on to invest in mines and mining industries projects in Iran.
After finalization of MoU, Iran and Italy will establish a joint firm to conduct two projects, one project to produce 6.5 million tons iron ore pellets and another project to produce 3 million tons Direct Reduced Iron in Iran.
Italian firms will invest 60 percent and IMIDRO will invest 40 percent in this project.
