According to IMIDRO's public relations, this meeting was held in line with the “MOU” inked between IMIDRO and the National Iranian Oil Company.
The technical, economic, and executive aspects of the project were reviewed through presentations by representatives of the National Iranian Central Oil Company.
IMIDRO’s representative noted: Our entry into the development of gas fields is a strategic move aimed at realizing the goals of the Seventh Development Plan and supporting the steel industry's gas needs to achieve the target of producing 55 million tons of steel.
Regarding the moves performed following the signing of the memorandum of understanding, including the formation of a Joint Working Group (JWG), the selection of a specialized consultant to prepare DPOP development and operation studies, and readiness to prepare these studies on schedule (after technical coordination and ahead of time receipt of information from the National Iranian Oil Company), a report was also presented.
The National Iranian Oil Company’s representative welcomed IMIDRO's participation and emphasized the maximum use of domestic companies' capabilities in the development of gas fields.
Furthermore, the National Oil Company presented a schedule covering the period from data acquisition to the finalization of DPOP development and production studies, and was initially agreed upon by the attendees.
It should be noted that these measures are a prelude to sign a long-term contract under a new model of oil contracts known as IPC.
